The Santa Cruz County Clerk’s Office performs civil marriage ceremonies on weekdays, at 3:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. The fee is $75.

Reservations are necessary. Couples may reserve a time and date by calling 831-454-2060 or by coming to the County Clerk’s Office located at 701 Ocean Street, Room 210, Santa Cruz.

Couples must have a valid marriage license prior to the scheduled ceremony and have at least one witness present.

Please, no more than 10 guests and no food nor beverages are allowed.

Ceremonies are concluded within 20 minutes and will take place outside behind the County Government Building if weather permits, or in the atrium between the Government Building and the Courthouse.

Couples must arrive on time. There is no guarantee we will be able to perform a ceremony for late arrivals.
